Dragon Boat Event |

Clearwater Athletic will be exhibiting on the saturday of the Dragon Boat Championships to be held at Holme Pierpoint this weekend.
We will be exhibiting some of the products that will be available for club ordering this year. We will also have training kit for sale also.

Henley Royal Regatta |

We will be exhibiting at Henley Royal Regatta next week from wednesday through till sunday as part of a joint stand with Spartan Clothing. You can find us about 100 meters towards the start from Upper Thames RC (next to Rock the Boat).
We will have a large range of kit to purchase along with samples of new garments that will be available later in the year. If you are are after a Power Shirt in sizes Medium, Large and X Large then get there early, we only have a very limited number of these sizes.
If you are looking to buy some training kit or taking over asa club kit officer next year then come along and see us.

Women's Henley |

Hello
Clearwater Athletic will be at Women's Henley this weekend as part of a joint stand with Spartan Clothing. You wil be able to view and purchase some of the new ranges that we have been working. There will also be some sle bargins to be had as well. We will be there from 9am on friday morning till after the finals on sunday.

Richard Chambers picked for Isis Crew |

Former Clearwater Athletic model Richard Chambers has been picked to row at 7 in Isis the Oxford reserve boat. We wish them the best of luck in beating Goldie.
Spartan clothing has provided all the race and training for both Oxford and Cambridge. Cambridge will be wearing the Elite Zephyr and Tech Shorts while Oxford will be wearing the Reflex Zephyr and th Tech Suit. This years Boat Race takes place on the 7th of April at 4.30pm.

Manchester Indoor Rowing Champs |

To celebrate the birth of our Lord we have some great deals on Spartan outerwear and Severn techical kit.

New Products |

Over the last couple of days we have been updating the site and there are a number of changes that you will notice. Firstly, we have added new graphics of each item, this now allows us to show the colours we stock in each item. Secondly, we have reduced the amount of products on offer. This is while we develop decent quality graphics for the Ronhill products. Thirdly we have added two new products. The Elite Body and the Power Shirt both from Spartan Clothing. In the next few weeks we will be adding new products and more colours for our existing products. We will be adding a new range of x-training kit from Ronhill, technical caps and visors from Headsweats, tech tops, tights and suits from Severn and splash tops and more outerwear from Spartan. We will also be launching our customisation feature which will allow printing of club/team names on to the garments.

This months edition of Rowing & Regatta features a review of both the Spartan Elite Body and the new Reflex Body.
We have just had a delivery of elite bodies which will be up for sale on the site early next week. We have two colours in stock, navy and red/navy they are on special offer till christmas at £35 plus p+p. Call or email asap if you want one because we don't have a massive stock especially in the smaller sizes.
The new Reflex Body will be available in the next few weeks, check back for details.
We will also be taking delivery of some Spartan Powershirts. For those of you who have never seen a Powershirt here's my attempt at an explanation.... The Powershirt is a thermal base layer designed to be worn directly against the skin. It is manufactured using a Polartec 4 way stretch fleece fabric. It has a 30cm zip on the front for ventilation and is cut lower at the back for protection. Whilst it is designed for rowing it is also suitable for a wide variety of other uses such as cycling and ski-ing. The demand for them at events this summer has been massive.
We will also be adding to our range of technical garments over the coming 6 weeks, adding new colours and styles. We will also be updating all our photos and adding more information on our products and brands.

World Championships |

I will be on hand at the Spartan Clothing stand at the World Champs at Dorney from thursday till sunday this week. Clearwater will be representing Spartan in the north west from september so if you are from a north west club/uni/school and you want any kit info please call/email/come find me at Dorney Lake this week.

Henley Royal Regetta 2006 |

Representatives from Clearwater Athletic will be at Henley Royal Regatta as part of the Spartan Clothing stand situated next to Upper Thames RC. Feel free to come over for a chat and to see the new range of products available from Spartan, many of which will soon be available from Clearwater Athletic.
As a result any orders place between tuesday the 27th and friday the 29th will be processed early next week.

In response to emails asking for more details of the Spartan Powershirt we now have a graphic and some details:
-Anatomically-cut close fitting contoured body profile helps to maximise the performance benefits of the technical fabric
and minimize the chances of 'snagging' around the abdomen
-4-way stretch Polartec Power Stretch performance fabric
-Quick-drying 'wicking' fabric keeps the athlete warmer and drier by pulling sweat away from the skin (during high-aerobic activity) allowing it to evaporate on the surface
-Semi-deep collar offering a snugger fit
-Deep 30cm neck zip allowing easy removal plus improved ventilation control (plus Supplex inner flap for additional protection and comfort
-Fitted 'Raglan' sleeve providing maximum freedom of movement
-Extended slleves resulting in a better fir when stretching forward
-Thumb-hole cuff extensions (with Supplex binding) prevent sleeves from riding-up and keep palms warm while still allowing fingers to move
-Anatomically-cut differential hem with shorter cropped front plus longer back (improving the in-boat fir and offering valuable protection to the vulnerable lumbar region)
-Durable twin-needle stitching helps resist seam wear

Head Race Season |

The VIII's head racing season is well and truly underway. With the British weather as reliable as ever it is important to keep warm before, during and after a race. Both the short and long sleeved Severn Tech Tops are ideal to be worn underneath a racing suit at events, they will not only keep you warm but beacuse of the technical fabric will wick sweat away from the skin keeping you dry. For those people who haven't discovered the joy of rowing in tights they really are an essential item as anyone who as ever raced at Head of the Trent will agree with.
On a different note; the Under Armour base layers will be here within the next week, as soon as we have them we will put them up on the site. We will keep you posted on the availability of the Spartan Powershirts (as featured in Rowing and Regatta magazine). Good afternoon.
We are currently in discussions with the American company Under Armour about putting their products on the site. Under Armour base layers were originally developed for use by american football players but are now used by many top sportsmen in a variety of sports. These include the British Lions rugby team, Chelsea FC and the England Cricket team. The moisture wicking properties of the heatgear range make them ideal base layers for rowing or dragon boat training. The thermal properties of the Coldgear range make it ideal for athletes train ing in cold weather or for coxes and coaches. If anybody has any questions regarding any of these products don not hesitate to contact us.

Spartan Powershirts |

If this is your first visit to the Clearwater Site welcome to the newest and coolest supplier of performance rowing and dragon boating clothing.
Clearwater Athletic will be stocking a small quantity of the new and highly sought after Spartan Powershirt (as advertised in Rowing and Regatta magazine). Manufactured using a polartec technical fleece fabric it is is the ultimate base layer for winter training. The lower back shape makes it suitable for both the rowing and dragon boating stroke. We will also be offering a Powershirt & Tights bundle giving you the perfect combination for those cold sessions.

Welcome to Clearwater Athletic the UK's newest rowing and dragon boating store. Our aim is to offer high quality training clothing to the UK rowing and db market. We will be offering a range of products from Severn tech suits, tech tops and tights to running and cycling kit from Ronhill.
As well as standard products such as the tech suits we will be stocking several new and innovative products. The Spartan powershirt (as seen in Regatta magazine) will be first of these. Developed in conjunction with Polartec it uses a powerstretch wicking fabric to take moisture away from the skin keeping you warm and dry. Its tight close fitting design makes it perfect for both rowing and dragon boating and other sports such as running, cycling and skiing.

After several months of building the site, getting stock and photographing it Clearwater Athletic has finally launched. Over the coming weeks more images and product detail will be added. In the new year we will be adding new brands and increasing the range of colours and styles from our existing brands.
